Leah Glickman

Leah Glickman was elected to the Library Board in 2025. She and her family have deep roots in Skokie, her husband having been born and raised here. As a former third grade teacher, she made good use of the library’s theme bags. Later, after having three children, the library became an essential destination whether for storytime, drop-in activities in the BOOMbox, or just a few moments of alone time with a good book.

She brings her experience as a small business owner to her role as Trustee and is pleased to be able to help the library grow and succeed, building on what the staff do every day to take learning beyond the pages of books and bring creativity, togetherness, and community to the people of Skokie.

When she’s not attending to her duties as a Trustee, she enjoys fitness, hosting, binge-watching cop shows, and spending time with family and friends—including her virtual book club.
