Join us for a discussion of The Last Resort: A Memoir of Zimbabwe by Douglas Rogers. In the early 2000s, under the auspices of the President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe, war veterans were violently overtaking the land of a small population of white farmers. Douglas Rogers is a travel writer living in Brooklyn who must return to his home and try to save his familys farm. This recent history examines not only a family in crisis but recent Zimbabwean politics.
