Sensory-Friendly Family Movie: The Little Mermaid

Saturday, March 9, 2024
1:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Petty Auditorium

This special sensory screening is designed for everyone, including families with neurodivergent children and others who may benefit from a less sensory-intense movie experience.

We will keep the lights on and turn the sound down so you can shout, sing, or move about in whatever way is needed to enjoy the film.

Mermaid princess Ariel is fascinated with the human world and accepts a deal from Ursula, a sea witch, to trade her voice for legs. Halle Bailey in the lead role is luminous; plus, the classic songs are there along with some new tunes written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This is the live-action adaptation of the 1989 musical animated Disney movie.

2022 - 135 minutes - Rated PG for action/peril and some scary images - Musical Adventure
