Fall Foraging: Eat the Neighborhood

Curious about what useful and edible plants might be just under your nose or outside your door? Professional forager Dave Odd leads a tour of the edible plants hiding in plain sight in Skokie.

Dave's own childhood visits to Emily Oaks Nature Center helped nurture his deep curiosity about plants. We'll meet at the library's east entrance, and Dave will lead a short walk, teaching us about at least 50 edible plants in the process. Even if you participated in the spring foraging tour, the shift in seasons means we'll talk about some different plants.
