Low Income Energy and Transportation Benefits Assistance

Apply for assistance to pay utility bills or get senior discounted rates for public transit and state vehicle registration.

Trained representatives from Niles Township Government, North Shore Senior Center, and Village of Skokie will help you submit an application for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for households meeting the financial guidelines, as well as the Benefits Access Program for senior discounted rates on public transit and for state vehicle registration.

Register by calling North Shore Senior Center at 847-784-6040. Limited drop-in assistance may be available. If you need an interpreter, specify when you register for assistance in Arabic, Assyrian, Hindi/Urdu, Swahili, and Spanish.
