Disability Equity in Health Care--Screening and live Q&A: Online Event

Thursday, April 14, 2022
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Zoom Event

Advocating for your health care can be challenging, particularly for individuals with disabilities.

Get a better understanding of critical issues around health and wellness for people with disabilities, and learn how to better advocate for yourself, a loved one, or other community members.

Last August, local organizations Aspire and Disability Lead hosted a panel to raise awareness, share knowledge, and invite advocacy on the topic of high-quality health care for people with disabilities.

Join us for an encore presentation of this enlightening and useful session, bookended by an introduction and Q&A session with several of the panelists. In advance, we encourage you to explore an interview with Andrés Gallegos, featured panelist and chair of the National Council on Disability, on Aspire's podcast, Amplify Inclusion (Season 3, Episodes 1 & 2).

You will receive the Zoom link in your confirmation email. If you have questions about this event after registration has closed, please email the events team or call the library at 847-673-7774.
