Read and discuss this award-winning and gripping account of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
In Midnight in Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the World's Greatest Nuclear Disaster, Adam Higginbotham brings his journalist's eye to this historical event. He interviewed eyewitnesses and obtained declassified Soviet documents as he detailed the events leading up to the disaster, the meltdown itself, and what came after. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, one that Higginbotham shows could have been averted.
