Zoom Event Backup
To begin this 3-part workshop, learn what makes a successful photograph and how to apply that knowledge to the subject of nature.
We'll talk about light, composition, balance, angles, leading lines, reflections, "moments," and more. Regardless of whether you're using a phone camera or a DSLR, these principles can be applied to take photos of nature that confer meaning, going beyond documenting what you've seen.
You must register for all three sessions using the registration feature (below) for this session. Limited to 10 participants entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
Session 2 (July 10): Live and in-person at Emily Oaks Nature Center. Saturday morning photo shoot to apply the photography fundamentals from session one.
Session 3 (July 21): Post-processing and online gallery walk. Learn how to make your photographs pop.
You will receive the Zoom link in your confirmation email. If you have questions about this event after registration has closed, please email the events team or call the library at 847-673-7774.
