Learn to avoid or lessen college loan debt in this panel presentation. Topics include financial assistance available for obtaining and repaying loans, avoiding scams, and refinancing.

Tobyn Friar, director of financial aid at Loyola University, will discuss how college loans work, what to consider when selecting student loans, and what to be aware of when repaying student loans. Phillip Hale, vice president for government affairs at Loyola University, will also present on student financial aid policy. Maribeth Stein, constituent advocate for the Office of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, will describe the most current legislation regarding student loans.
