What Every American Should Know
Tuesday, November 22, 2016
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Radmacher Meeting Room
What do you think Americans should know to be civically and culturally literate? Join us for a panel discussion about what it means to be a member of our community and what it means to be an American in a time of massive demographic and social shifts. The panel will feature local and regional leaders, including Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, and participants will be invited to share their top 10 ideas.
What Every American Should Know is a project of the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program to explore how, in an age of increasing diversity and widening inequality, this country can cultivate a sense of shared destiny and common civic purpose.
