Weather and Outdoor Events
Library events scheduled to take place outdoors will be modified or canceled in the case of extreme cold, extreme heat, or otherwise inclement weather. Participants should dress for the weather.
Extreme Weather
Cold

| 15°F - 31.9°F | Event will be modified to ensure that participants spend no more than 20 minutes outside |
| 32°F or above | Event will proceed as planned |
Heat

| 90.1°F - 94°F | Event will be modified to ensure that participants spend no more than 20 minutes outside |
| 94.1°F or above | Event will be canceled, or moved indoors depending on room availability |
Other Inclement Weather
- When snow, rain, or other precipitation affects the program location, the event will be canceled, or moved indoors depending on room availability.
- On High Ozone Days, the event will be canceled, or moved indoors depending on room availability.
- On days when the Air Quality Index is above 101, the event may be canceled or moved indoors based on room availability.
Library events staff will monitor the weather on the day of the event and will determine needed adjustments due to weather up to 30 minutes before the event start time.
