Booking with a Buddy

Join us for our annual Booking with a Buddy experience!

Kids entering grades 1-3 in the fall can be "little buddies," taking part in this literacy program that promotes reading during the summer.

Little buddy participants spend eight hours over four weeks (July 10-August 3) reading aloud and talking about books with teen big buddy volunteers, as well as playing literacy games and doing group activities. Space is limited. Registration is open June 1-30 or until the program is full. Little buddies are matched with big buddies and meet in small groups on Mondays and Thursdays.

Meeting times are at 1:30 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register only if you can attend at least six of the eight sessions. Once you register, you will receive more information about your session.

Although this program encourages reading, it is not a tutoring program and all big buddies are teen volunteers. Please contact Mandy O’Brien if you have questions.
