Indigenous STEAM: Learn about Food Processing and Preserving

Learn some methods used for processing and preserving food and participate in a quick-pickling demonstration.

This event is in honor of Native American Heritage Month and inspired by the ISTEAM Collaborative.

For kids ages 5-12. Participants must be able to follow directions and safety instructions.


First Nations Film and Video Festival

The First Nations Film and Video Festival highlights Indigenous/Native American filmmakers of all skill levels, providing them a venue for their works and voice.

All films are directed by Indigenous/Native American filmmakers from the United States, Canada, Central and South America, and Mexico.

LitLounge: The Sentence

This month we'll be discussing Pulitzer Prize winning author Louise Erdrich's novel that follows a diverse group of Native American booksellers haunted by the spirit of a customer.

Let's Take a Walk: For Families

‘Reservation Dogs’--Indigenous Representation in the Media

Enjoy this teen comedy/drama television series from an all-Indigenous cast and creative team.

We’ll watch excerpts from the series, eat snacks, and collaborate on a service project on the topic of Native American representation in media and American pop culture.
