Young Steinway Concert: William Tan, Cello, and Steffi Chen, Piano

Each Young Steinway concert showcases young people with extraordinary talent and the drive to make great use of that talent.

Cellist William Tan is a 9th grader at the University of Chicago Laboratory School. He studies cello with Hans Jorgen Jensen and was winner of the 2018 Arthur D. Montzka Young Artist Concerto Competition. Pianist Steffi Chen, a senior at Fremd High School in Palatine, performed in the Illinois Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festival 2018 Honors Recital. She studies piano with Laura Fenster and plays viola in her school orchestra.
