Teen Theater Workshop: Martin Rising: Requiem for a King

Wednesday, January 2, 2019
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Petty Auditorium

Performers in grades 6-12 are invited to this three-day theater workshop, kicking off a stage production based on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life, death, and legacy.

Participants will engage in ensemble-building games and theater exercises, and will go on to perform in a stage adaptation of Andrea Davis Pinkney's Martin Rising: Requiem for a King, to be performed February 23 and 24. Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings through the end of February. Participants must commit to attending all three days of the workshop, and must be available for the rehearsals and performances.

This production is in partnership with the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and Northlight Theatre, and is supported by the Skokie Community Foundation.

Online registration is closed.
