Capoeira is a fluid series of acrobatic, martial movements used to form a dance. Learn its origins with Mestre Marisa Cordeiro, director of Gingarte Capoeira Chicago.

Mestre James Morgan will join Marisa to demonstrate this art form, which was developed by enslaved persons in colonial Brazil and which combines techniques for self-defense into an expression of liberation.
