Although the collective action of countries, communities, and organizations over the past 30 years has saved millions of lives worldwide, inequalities in health and well-being persist.
The world now faces a mix of old and new health challenges. We also remain vulnerable to new and deadly pandemics. The next several decades will be as important—if not more so—than the last for the well-being of the world.
