Get a Grip: How Do You Get the News?

Monday, March 12, 2018
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Radmacher Meeting Room

Do you care about the ways journalists interact with citizens, and vice versa? Learn how to disrupt news systems and give power back to the people.

Get an inside look at how newsroom decisions are made and how audiences can influence coverage of their communities. Join members from City Bureau, a Chicago-based civic journalism lab working to diversify the media, bring journalists and community members together, and rethink how neighborhood beats are being covered.

Media Literacy @ Your Library, a project of the American Library Association in collaboration with the Center for News Literacy at Stony Brook University, is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Democracy Fund, and the Rita Allen Foundation.
