Get a Grip: How Do You Check Facts?

Monday, February 12, 2018
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Radmacher Meeting Room

Between political rhetoric and the proliferation of media content, it has never been more important to sort what's true from what's false.

Join journalists Suzanne McBride and Sharon Bloyd-Peshkin as they demonstrate techniques they use to fact-check work before it's published. You'll learn to use these skills to check what you read or write.

Media Literacy @ Your Library, a project of the American Library Association in collaboration with the Center for News Literacy @ Stony Brook University, is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Democracy Fund, and the Rita Allen Foundation.
