Friend Squad Volunteer Orientation: Teen Summer Service

Tuesday, June 10, 2025
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Radmacher Room

We are seeking kind, friendly, and supportive volunteers for our monthly inclusive social group, Friend Squad.

In addition to service hours, volunteers get a lot out of this meaningful experience: it’s fulfilling, stress-relieving, and it can provide a new perspective about the many ways to be a person in the world.

Volunteers and participants can be in middle school or high school. Friend Squad meets once a month at the library, on Tuesdays this summer and usually on Wednesdays during the school year. Friend Squad is 6-7:30 pm, and we ask that volunteers arrive at 5:45 pm and stay until 7:45 pm. As a volunteer, your role is to help make Friend Squad a fun and engaging social event, and to help everyone feel included.

Trained summer volunteers are expected to volunteer with Friend Squad on June 17, July 8, and August 5, and we hope you'll volunteer through the school year as well. Participants will earn service hours. Fill out this contact form to be added to our list of interested teen volunteers and be one of the first to know about volunteer opportunities.

Email the teen team if you have any questions. For grades 6-12.

Registration begins May 1.
