In the United States, more than a quarter of science Nobel laureates are Jewish. Why could this be? Jeffry Mallow will explore connections between Judaism and science.

Jeffry Mallow is Emeritus Professor of Physics at Loyola University. He is a graduate of the Workers Circle Yiddish schools and holds a Bachelor of Jewish Literature degree from the Jewish Teachers’ Seminary. He serves on the Forward Association, which publishes The Forward and Der Forverts and is Honorary Chair of the Chicago YIVO Society.

This presentation will be conducted primarily in English, with any Yiddish translated. It is a hybrid event with the option to participate in person or on Zoom. Online participants will receive the Zoom link in their confirmation email.
