Teen Climate Crew: Planting a Native Prairie

Sunday, October 1, 2023
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join naturalist Amanda Krause and the Teen Climate Crew at Oakton College's Skokie campus for some native planting!

They are helping convert lawn into a native habitat, and the flora you plant will help nurture the delicate biodiversity of Skokie’s prairie lands by providing important flowers for both native bees and Oakton’s budding honeybee apiary.

This program is part of the Teens in Action and participants will earn service hours. Visit here for more details about TIA. The Teen Climate Crew comes together year-round to help save the environment with volunteer conservation projects. Teens can join any time by coming to programs like this one!
