Article Discussion: Monuments to the Unthinkable

Tuesday, June 13, 2023
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Cosmos Room

Library staff facilitate a discussion of a thought-provoking article.

In Clint Smith's December 2022 Atlantic cover story, "Monuments to the Unthinkable," Smith reports from Germany on what the U.S. can learn about atonement and public memory, “specifically how people, communities, and nations should account for the crimes of their past.”

Read or listen to the article at The Atlantic, and come with questions, impressions, and curiosity to share.
