Low Income Energy and Transportation Benefits Assistance

Apply for assistance to pay for utility bills (all ages) or get senior discounted rates for public transit and state vehicle registration.
Trained representatives from Niles Township Government, North Shore Senior Center, and the Village of Skokie will help you submit an application for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for households meeting financial guidelines, and also the Benefits Access Program for senior discounted rates on public transit and for state vehicle registration.
Register by calling North Shore Senior Center at 847-784-6040. Limited drop-in assistance may be available.
Language assistance is available in Arabic, Farsi, and Spanish; please specify if you will need an interpreter for one of these languages when you register.
