A Discovery of Witches meets The Craft in this fantasy about four young girls who took an oath to join Her Majesty's Royal Coven, established by Queen Elizabeth I as a covert government department. Decades later, the witch community is reeling from a civil war, and one of the young women has defected to start her own more inclusive coven. To make matters worse, a young warlock of extraordinary capabilities has been captured and seems to threaten the coven's very existence.
