Family Book Club: Nana Akua Goes to School

Wednesday, August 10, 2022
5:45 pm - 6:30 pm
Activity Room

In this book discussion for kids in grades 1-3 and an accompanying grown-up, we'll discuss our book and play a book-related game or create a craft together.

In Nana Akua Goes to School by Tricia Elam Walker, Zura is worried about how her classmates will react to her Ghanaian Nana's tattoos on Grandparents Day, but Nana finds a way to show how special and meaningful they are.

Sign up for the discussion, then pick up a copy of the book at the Kids Desk.

Please register the child only, although an adult must attend as well. All participants must follow the library's pandemic safety guidance.

Find Nana Akua Goes to School in the library catalog.

Online registration is closed.
