Based on the 1957 stage musical, this story follows Maria, a woman from New York City's Upper West Side, as she meets and falls for Tony, a man from a very different background.
Maria and Tony fall in love, ignoring warnings from their families and a rivalry between their respective gangs. Directed by Steven Spielberg. Starring Ansel Elgort, Ariana Debose, Rachel Zegler, and David Alvarez. Rita Moreno, who won Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1961 version, costars.
