Learn the basics of this popular card game, and play a game by the end of this session.
Cribbage, a card game dating back to at least the 17th century, involves playing and grouping cards in different combinations for points. In the U.S. alone, the game is played by more than 10 million people. Why is it so popular? What has made it endure throughout the years? What makes it so fun?
Staff member John Fillman will walk us through some quick history, the basics, and a few sample hands. Then, he'll get everyone started playing a short game. Come solo or with a partner--either way, you'll get an opportunity to try it yourself. Cards and printed boards will be provided.
