This novel by Gail Tsukiyama follows a young doctor as he returns to his childhood home.

Daniel Abe's arrival home to Hawai’i coincides with the awakening of the Mauna Loa volcano and its dangerous path toward their village, unearthing long-held secrets simmering below the surface that meld past and present.

This is a hybrid event with the option to participate in person or on Zoom. Limited to 20 in-person participants, who must follow the library's pandemic safety guidance.
