Water Is Life: Teen Service Project

Monday, October 11, 2021
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Radmacher Room

Commemorate Indigenous Peoples Day with this teach-in and call to action. Note: the registration system for in-person attendance is not working properly. Please see below and email the teen team!

Guest speakers will discuss what comes out of our faucets, what goes down the drain, and all the plants and animals and microorganisms that rely on water from Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. Then, get help to compose a letter asking a lawmaker to take action to address an issue that's important to you.

Participants earn service hours. For grades 6-12. Email the teen team with questions about this event, and join our Remind (@spl-tlc) to stay connected.

Participants have the option of joining on Zoom or in person. All in-person participants must follow the library's pandemic safety guidance. Zoom participants will receive the Zoom link in the confirmation email.

Online registration is closed.
