Library staff moderate conversation on Goodreads . You can join the discussion at any time. August is Romance Month and to celebrate we're reading a staff favorite romance novel!
Are you a romance newbie? Now's the perfect time to give romance a chance. Are you a romance devotee? Come geek out with us as we discuss A Princess in Theory, a contemporary yet fairy tale-esque romance by the award winning Alyssa Cole.
Naledi Smith is a graduate student in epidemiology in New York and keeps getting emails from the Kingdom of Thesolo telling her she's the long-lost betrothed to Prince Thabiso (sounds a little phishy). Prince Thabiso is getting lots of pressure to get married, but he's holding out hope for his betrothed, who happens to be his long-lost friend--so much so that he sets out to find her and reconnect. This is so much more than a love story-- it's got palace intrigue, long-lost family, a hot mess of a best friend, some romance, and (in theory) a STEM-y princess! This delightful, escapist romance is perfect for the steamy days of August and we can't wait to discuss it with you.
