Guitarist Goran Ivanovic, born and raised in Croatia, was studying at the Mozarteum University in Austria when his parents were expelled from Croatia in the late 1990s.

The family was granted asylum in the United States and settled in Chicago. Since his arrival, Goran has steadily expanded his stylistic range well beyond the European classical music and Balkan sounds he was fluently versed in when he arrived. These days, his repertoire incorporates jazz and flamenco as well.
