Young Steinway Concert: Claire Metcalf, Violin, and Brandon Zhang, Piano

Each Young Steinway concert showcases young people with extraordinary talent and the drive to make great use of that talent.

A sophomore at James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Claire Metcalf studies violin with Betty Haag-Kuhnke. As winner of her high school's concerto competition, she performed the Khachaturian Violin Concerto in d Minor with the Conant High School Orchestra in May 2019. Pianist Brandon Zhang is a junior at Naperville Central High School. He studies piano with Sueanne Metz and performed at Carnegie Hall on a winners recital for the 2019 American Fine Arts Festival.
