Enjoy a two-hour journey via the music and poetry of legendary Bengali polymath Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Many of the poems were originally song lyrics, and this performance presents English translations paired with the songs sung in the original Bengali and improvisations in the songs' corresponding ragas. Vocals and narrations by Subhajit Sengupta and Swarnali Banerjee are accompanied by sweeping strings and accordion harmonies. The performers also share stories and personal experiences that illustrate the enduring power and relevance of Tagore's work.
