Learn about archaeological and archival findings related to the ephemeral "White City" and Midway Plaisance of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair.

Scholar Rebecca Graff will speak about her research on the results of an excavation in Chicago's Jackson Park. These results revealed the fair's extensive sanitary infrastructure, as well as delicate plaster remains of the fair's Ohio State Building. She will also link her research to the transformation of other structures in late 19th-century America, such as at Chicago's Charnley-Persky House.
