Talking Books Discussion Group: The Geography of Bliss
Wednesday, May 22, 2019
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Book Discussion Room
Join us for our monthly book discussion for patrons with visual impairments, and any other patrons who wish to read and discuss this book.
This month's selection is The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places on Earth by Eric Weiner. It traces the author's yearlong quest to find the world's "unheralded happy places," such as Bhutan, Iceland, Qatar, and Switzerland. This book mixes travel, psychology, and humor to discuss what makes us truly happy.
Patrons of all abilities are welcome to participate in the discussion and to read the book in whatever format is best for them. A limited number of print copies are available at the Readers Services Desk. Audiobooks are available through the Talking Book and Braille Service of the Illinois State Library. For more information on how to enroll in this service, please call the Senior Services line at 847-972-5651.
Online registration is closed.
