The Slow Stitch Movement

Thursday, April 11, 2019
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Radmacher Meeting Room

What do sashiko, boro, kantha, and patchwork embroidery have in common? Join the slow stitch movement with fiber artist Cathy Wycliff, and create a unique piece of your own.

Slow down and enjoy the process. Explore ways to repair and reuse fabric, and create new works of art with traditional stitches from Japan, India, and the United States. There will also be a brief discussion of the costs of fast fashion and its socioeconomic effects.

Limited to 12 participants.

Online registration is closed.
