Why is race such a difficult topic to discuss? Facilitators from the YWCA Evanston/North Shore will help you learn strategies for making conversations about race easier to start.

How do we ease stigmas and make conversations about race normal? When someone says "I don't even notice race” as their response to facing differences, they are saying that they don’t notice the full identify of the other person. How do we move from “colorblind” to “color conscious”?
