Homework Help at the Library

The Skokie Public Library is excited to announce the launch of Homework Help. Every Tuesday starting January 17th (through May 9), students in grades 1-8 can come to the Radmacher Meeting Room from 4-5:30 pm and meet with a volunteer for a 15 minute homework help session. We have a variety of volunteers with different academic backgrounds ready to assist with homework questions. Registration is not required. Simply come by on a Tuesday (starting on the 17th of January) and sign in for a session on a first-come-first-served basis.

We hope that Homework Help will assist with single homework problems so that you don't have to find and pay for full tutoring sessions. It's also a great way to connect younger patrons with our wonderful teen volunteers. And the teens develop leadership qualities while meeting a community need! In addition to our awesome volunteers, our amazing Youth Services desk staff can point younger patrons towards additional resources if they need extra assistance beyond the help session.

Can’t make it on Tuesdays? No problem! Skokie cardholders also have access to our free online resources for homework help. Login with your library card number to access up to five weekly 20 minute sessions in the areas of math, science, social studies, and English. This online service is available daily from 3-10 pm.
