We've created a Library website specially formatted for small screens but with much of the same functionality as our regular site. The mobile version of our website features:

- New item listings

You can also browse the Library's collection on your phone with AirPAC, a version of the Library catalog designed for mobile phones. With AirPAC you can:
- Browse the collection
- Reserve titles
- Check your account
- Renew items

Text Messaging Alerts
Stay up-to-date on all your Library account activity! Sign up for this free service and receive updates on item holds ready to be checked out, overdue notices, and courtesy notices for items that will be due in two days. You can even renew items with a quick text.
Please note: Text message notifications are provided by Shoutbomb, LLC. While this is a free service offered by the Library, you may incur per-message charges depending on your wireless plan. Please contact your wireless provider for more details.

Mobile Commands
Text these commands to skokie@shoutbomb.com for updates on your Library account, or to turn certain features on or off. You should receive a response within 60 seconds.
| SIGNUP | Registers for text messaging service. |
| TEST | Tests your connection. |
| HL | Request a list of items currently on hold. |
| OL | Request a list of current overdue items. |
| COURTESY | Toggles 2-day due date warnings on or off. Default setting is on. |
| OVERDUE | Toggles overdue warnings on or off. Default setting is on. |
| HOLDS | Toggles hold notices on or off. Default setting is on. |
| RESEND | Sends last message. |
| QUIT | Cancels text messaging service. |
Sending a Text Message to an Email Address
Nearly every text-capable phone has the ability to send messages to an email address. If none of the following options apply to your phone, please email the Library or call 847.673.7774. Be sure to specify your phone model and wireless carrier.

- Go to Messaging and create a new Text Message.
- Open up the Send To box to designate the recipient.
- Some phones have a separate field for Email and Phone Number. If this is the case, enter skokie@shoutbomb.com in the Email field.
- If not, look for a box that says 123 on the menu screen. (This means that you’re entering a number to designate who you’re texting.) Press the relevant button (typically the Shift key or one of the Option buttons) to switch this to ABC.
- Enter skokie@shoutbomb.com as the designated address. Send the message SIGNUP to this location.
- Add this contact info to your Address Book.
- Click on Messages.
- Press the BlackBerry button and select Compose SMS Text.
- Select [Use Once]. When it asks “Which Type of Address?” choose Email.
- Enter skokie@shoutbomb.com as the email address. Send the message SIGNUP.
- Add skokie@shoutbomb.com to your Address Book.
- Open up Messaging and select Compose New Message.
- Set skokie@shoutbomb.com as the recipient.
- Set SIGNUP as the message text.
- Save skokie@shoutbomb.com as a contact.
- Send a text message to 121.
- In the body of the message, type skokie@shoutbomb.com SIGNUP.
- After following the confirmation instructions, you will be signed up for the service.
