  • Focus.

    2015 by Glenn Ficarra

This movie was not what I was expecting! Will Smith has been hit or miss with me in recent years, but he does a great job in this film of playing a believable character and really delivers. There are a few good twists in the film, and it truly left me guessing until the end. It's listed as a comedy, but any Action movie fan will appreciate this hard-hitting flick!

  • Lucky Number Slevin

    2006 by Josh Hartnett

Lucky # Slevin is a great film that I can watch over and over. The action is great and the plot twists are unexpected. The star power alone is a reason to watch it. Freeman and Kingsley play great crime bosses. Willis and Hartnett play their roles to perfection and even Liu sells her role. Stand up performances mixed with a few twists result in this excellent film.

  • Layer Cake

    2005 by Matthew Vaughn

This film has similairities to some other crime films, with the main character trying to pull one last job before he retires. However, this is done with enough tricks and style that it keeps you guessing what will happen next as the plot twists.

  • Chinatown

    2007 by Roman Polanski

Polanski does a fantastic job with the setting of this film, and Jack Nicholson is genius in his role. Nicholson, who is a cop who turned into a private detective, has his hands full as he becomes wrapped in this murder case. This neo-noir film retains all of the brilliance it had when it was first released.

  • Heist

    2002 by David Mamet

This movie felt like a trick within a trick within a trick. Which is the whole point of this list! This movie always kept me guessing, and when I thought I had it all figured it, the movie would prove me wrong. Plus with a cast that features Gene Hackman, Danny Devito and Delroy Lindo, it's hard to go wrong.
