Monarch Community Science Project: Training for Teen Volunteers

Sunday, May 22, 2022
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
South Courtyard

Want to volunteer and help the environment this summer? Monarch butterflies play an important role as pollinators, and their populations are in trouble.

This summer, middle school and high school volunteers will maintain and observe a garden patch of milkweed (which provides food and a habitat for monarch butterflies to lay eggs) and contribute data to the Field Museum's Monarch Community Science Project.

Attend this training to learn how the project will work this summer. Ongoing volunteering dates for this project will take place on Wednesday afternoons, starting in June.

Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Limited to 15 participants who will be in grades 6-12 this fall.

Online registration is closed.
