Early Childhood Resources

The Youth Services Department has designed this section especially to assist you in your role as an early childhood educator or parent.

Skokie Public Library is dedicated to providing a variety of materials that will help foster your child's development. We also offer engaging programs for young children and a few for educators and parents. We have even gone outside the Library’s walls to bring the most up-to-date early childhood information to you via the World Wide Web!

Of special note is our preschool newsletter, the Early Childhood Express, which features Library programs, book reviews, website highlights, early literacy information, and much more! We want all children to experience the love of reading!

If you have suggestions for this page, or if you’d like to know more about the Library’s Preschool Services, please contact Holly Jin at 847.324.3117 or by .

Please note:  The Youth Services staff makes every effort to select websites that are suitable for children; however, the Library has no control over individual website content, sponsors, or advertisements. We encourage parents to explore and enjoy these websites with their children.
